This Month's Guests: Media Critics/TV Historians STEVE BEVERLY AND WESLEY HYATT
It's the annual Thanksgiving Eve broadcast with the show's resident media critics, Steve and Wes! We've got a
full show planned this time out - we'll be discussing everything from the possibility of Warner Brothers being
sold (could this finally spell the end of Zaslov's reign?) to Jimmy Kimmel's suspension and quick return, much
to the chagrin of both station owners Nexstar and Sinclair, as well as FCC Chairman Carr...and what kind of a test
this all was for First Amendment rights, to the daytime Emmys finally being relegated to streaming only (we told you
so), to a local TV news broadcast going off the walls, and more! We'll also take a look at how the former ABC-TV
station in Miami is doing with a 70% news schedule; we'll have a discussion on AI...and whether it's a help to the
industry or one big, fat hindrance. Plus Wes will pay tribute to two entertainment personalities whom we lost since
our last get together, and we'll read your e-mails!

CURRENT SHOW: #460
Jeanine starts her own new season of shows by saluting the sometimes bawdy singer/songwriter
Benny Bell, whose "Shaving Cream" tune from the 1940s was a major hit all over again in
the 1970s, thanks to Dr. Demento in Los Angeles and Cousin Brucie in New York. Her guest
is Benny's grandson, JOEL SAMBERG, whose just-completed novel, "Jackie Jester" is loosely
based on his grandfather's life and career. The two play some of the more popular as well
as some of the more obscure double entendre songs by Benny - "My Fanny", "Take a Ship",
"Sweet Violets", "The Janitor's Can", and others.
