This Week:

Remembering Actor/Voiceover Icon
JOHN STEPHENSON
With John's Son
ROGER STEPHENSON
Animation fans have heard his voice on just about every Hanna-Barbera
series starting with "The Flintstones" all the way through "Smurfs" and
beyond. He's probably best known for voicing Fred Flintstones' boss
Mr. Slate, but he was also Joe Rockhead on the same series, Fancy
Fancy on "Top Cat", both Luke and Blubber Bear on "Wacky Races",
Dr. Benton Quest on "Johnny Quest", and practically every villain on
many incarnations of "Scooby Doo". John Stephenson was also a
fine actor, appearing on everything from "Perry Mason" and "Hogan's
Heroes" to "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Bonanza". He was also the
first person viewers saw when they tuned in to "I Love Lucy" in 1951 for
its premiere broadcast. We'll talk about all of this and more with
John's son ROGER, who witnessed much of this first hand while grow-
ing up...and we'll read your e-mails!
