NEXT LIVE SIMULCAST:
12TH SEASON PREMIERE!
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2017
4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET
This Week's Guests:

Multiple Emmy-Winning Actor
ED ASNER
and Multiple Emmy-Winning Writer/Producer
ED. WEINBERGER
What a way to kick off season 12 of "Stu's Show"! The "Eds" have been collaborating for several years, after
having met when Weinberger was producing and writing "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and Asner was of course
playing Lou Grant. Their recent work together was a one-man stage play written by Weinberger and starring
Asner that's been garnering rave reviews around the country - "A Man and His Prostate", and their latest
masterpiece is one of the greatest (and funniest) political books ever written - "The Grouchy Historian:
An Angry Old-Time Lefty Defends Our Constitution Against Right-Wing Hypocrites and Nutjobs". Yes, we're
going to discuss politics BIG TIME for the first part of the show, and yes, the liberal peeps out there
will be watching for sure (we'll be preaching to the choir), but here's a message to the conservatives:
PLEASE tune in because you might very well learn something. Oh, and the liberals will too! Once we cut
through the politics, we'll talk about Weinberger's fantastic career that began in the 1960s writing for
Richard Pryor, Dick Gregory, and Johnny Carson, co-creating both the original late 60s "Bill Cosby Show"
(in which Cosby played a gym teacher) and the 80s blockbuster "Cosby Show", as well as "Taxi", "Dear John",
"Best of the West", "Amen", and many others...and we'll read your e-mails. How about THAT for a season-
opening broadcast, huh? Huh? Huh?!!!
